Tecra M3: black screen on start, vertical lines on external monitor

Hi all,
I've been searching a lot on the Internet for a solution to this specific problem I have but could not find a thread
with exactly the same problem.I have a Toshiba Tecra M3 with WinXp SP 3. Two weeks ago I encountered problems with starting up. After a couple of times restarting it would work. From then on it became worse... When I try to start up I see no splash.. the screen stays black. If I press the power button I hear the fan and the CD-drive but no screen. It's totally black. I know its working because I can go (blindly) into setup; press end, then Y and then enter. The notebook will restart but still no screen.
I hooked it up to an external monitor. Pressing Fn and F5 enables switching. The external monitor shows different
vertical lines in multiple colours. They change if I go to setup or try to start windows.
Does anyone have a solution to these problems?

Im having a similar problem,
I get the toshiba logo come up fine,
Then a bunch of black and white dots (its windows when has crashed and gives you option in safe mode) but you cant make out any of the text, I only know this because Ive delt with computers crashed before.
When windows XP SP 2 starts up basically there are white bar like dots vertically up and down the screen. Then finaly goes blue screen of death and restarts.
I have changed HDD with my old operating system so its not a virus, Ive taken out the ram, which is 2 x 1gb sticks. Ive tested them individualy and together yet I still get the same problem I mentioned above when I start my computer.
So its not the HDD or a virus, its not the ram, what is the problem here? The monitor looks fine with the toshiba logo (no dots up and down)
What do I need to fix it ? Whats broken?
Anyone who can help much apprciated.

I wish the page numbers in TextEdit to be printed on my documents; in TextEdit preferences, when I select the option to number pages when printing, it also prints the date and document title. How can I have it only print the page numbers?

i want to fill a item text of a purchase order via BAdI BBP_PO_INBOUND_BADI. The BAdI is called, that's tested.
Transaction ME23, Item / Texts / Text overview.
I tried with
  data:

and hoped to see "strike" as text - no success. Of course the values should be found later dynamicly.
In my point of view the parameter TEXT_ID is the problem. I tried 01, 0001, L01, K01, A01 and F01 but without success.
How can i find out the right TEXT_ID?

Okay, I've been using InDesign since it was PageMaker 4.3 so I'm pretty familiar with the features and the intents behind them. Lately I've had a problem for which I can't seem to find a fully acceptable work-around. It involves text-wrapping anchored objects within a large, multi page flow of text.
Boiled down to a basic description of the issue, I need a graphic to appear on a page within a text block at a certain point, that is, at the top of a justified paragraph on the extreme right side of the column. The object occupies 7 lines of text, dropping down into the paragraph from line 1. The object needs to have a word wrap applied causing the text within the block to flow around it.
The problem is that as the document evolves, the quantity of text that precedes the paragraph holding the graphic changes. As text is added to preceding paragraphs, text advances through the text blocks to a point where the graphic now begins to be displayed beyond the bottom of the text block rather than jump to the next text block. Forcing the object to stay within the text block (by using the "Keep with top/bottom column boundaries") pushes the object up, effectively leaving the original location and invading the preceding paragraph.
The first solution I tried was to anchor the object 7 lines deep in the paragraph, then manually move it up to the first line using the "Y-offset" in the "Anchored Objects Options" palette. When I do this, the object's text wrap fails (!), always working only at line 7 and below and not moving up with the object.
My current solution is to not embed the object inline at all, but place it over the text block. This works but is unsatisfactory since the text is constantly changing, forcing me to stop and reposition the graphic - plus the 500 or so similar objects that follow in similar situations further along in the document.
Any ideas?

I just upgraded a few weeks ago to Iphone 5 so forgive if this has been answered 100 times.  What happened to the load earlier messages option? All of my texts in every thread dissapear after a week.  I dont keep all threads but sometimes I need to.  Its happening in both imessage and text. I dont see anything in settings that allows me to lengthen that time period.  Thanks

I'd like to know where the content of the texts stored in STXH can be read. I know there's a FM 'Read_text' which takes the information from STXL and decodes it, but my question is if there's a table in which the information is already decoded.
